Bloodshed.

The inward curve,
slight & swift swurve
Knees bent & arms locked
The entire area now flocked

Foreign scents they carry
On their clothes
each and every
one of those

Different and foreign
Colours of bright red & blue
Not often a distraction,
in operations, they drew

Toppling of porcelains
across the floor
The sky darkens
My gaze tore

Like haste, a jet,
A plane crash or an atomic bomb
It was too late to fret
The deadly works from a wet palm

Fall back, but nowhere to run
Explosions inside & already out
What's done is done
One path, no bailouts.

The White Mask.

A step into the new world
I take a step back
What has the world become?
It seems all black

Unsure, yet curious
I take two steps forward
Walking to the endless
Path I had chosen

My eyes and ears open
To all those evil intentions
Flinching, the black curtain
That had, on me, fallen

Suffocating,
lack of oxygen
Where had I ended up
My heart had sunken

Doors slamming,
knives piercing
Through the weak,
innocent or meek

Trumpets & snare drums
high-pitched voices & table thumps
Gossips & discriminating
So loud, it's overpowering

I couldn't think
I couldn't act or react
All I did was sink
My heart had cracked

What is this world
I do not recognise
Why had it unfurled
To me, a mask in disguise?
