A chain and its weight dragging me down

Blood vessels bursting and I'm tearing

I'd scream, but no one'd hear a sound

Letting out a soft cry,

I felt my eyes covered in blood

Were these things supposed to consume me?

Wasn't I strong and protected?

Why did I see a light,

yet could not touch it

Or perhaps the darkness consuming my being

telling me I wasn't fit

Then I came to a realization

that this wasn't going to end here

this life isn't fiction

I'll face even more of it, I fear.

empty paper and a pen in my hand

dry lips & wrinkled eyes

Time flies like fine sand

Blown by the wind

Where could I draw inspiration from?

where could I find the need to touch and feel,

explore & create colors,

beyond anyone's imagination?

Drained, and dehydrated,

Tensed, yet tired

Holding on, but slowly losing my grip,

If only, it were to come back to me once more.
